Splitting one event into two events can be done by clicking

on any line item as long as the event is not ongoing. The following display will pop up.

Select the date and time to split the event, and click

once complete. This will create one event that starts at the original start time, and will end at the selected split date and time. It will create another event which will start at the selected split date and time, and end at the original end time.
