This release introduces Customize Downtime Notifications, a new capability designed to reduce response times by automatically notifying the right people when specific production events occur. We are also adding local facility time zone selection for reports
Customize Downtime Notifications
Until now, notifications were configured only at the asset level, meaning users received alerts for every downtime event on an asset.
However, we recognized that some individuals only need to be notified about specific types of downtime. For example, a maintenance team member may only need to know when breakdown-related events occur.
To address this, we’ve improved how the notification system works. Notifications can now be configured not only by asset, but also by cause—allowing users to receive alerts only for the specific events relevant to their role.
To set up Custom Downtime Notifications:
Go to your User Profile
Open Permissions and Notifications
For each asset, select Event Alerts
Choose the events you want to be notified about
Save
Example: If production stops and the downtime is justified as a Palletizer Jam, LEAN can automatically notify the warehouse team so they can intervene immediately.
Local facility time zone for reports
Until now, reports were generated based on the user’s time zone, which could cause misaligned data when viewing facilities in other regions. Reports can now be generated using the facility’s local time zone, ensuring production, downtime, and performance metrics align with each site’s true operating hours.
