New in v1.17.0

Purpose

For all types of reports, users have the ability to compare a report with a different time period. This comparison feature displays report tables and graphs side-by-side or one above the other to allow easier differentiation of data between the two reporting periods.

How to use it

In any of the report types:

1. Select a facility

2. Set the start date and end date for the following date fields (this will be considered as the Current report period)

3. Tick the checkbox to enable comparison mode

4. Select period type (to determine Comparison report period)

Note:

Previous Period = same duration as the Current report period

Custom Period = allows user to set a custom dates regardless of period duration

4.1 If the period type is set to Previous Period, the comparison period fields are automatically calculated.

Example:

Current report period 2022/06/20 00:00:00 - 2022/06/21 00:00:00 has a duration of exactly 24 hours.

Hence, Comparison report period will have dates set exactly 24 hours before (2022/06/19 00:00:00 - 2022/06/20 00:00:00) the Current report period dates

4.2 If the period type is set to Custom Period, the comparison period fields become editable and user is able to set a custom date interval

Note: The current report period and comparison report period cannot have overlapping dates.

5. Click on "Generate"

Overall KPI

When comparing two time periods for the performance report, two tables are displayed stacked on top of each other with its corresponding date period indicated at the top.

mceclip7.png

The Quality, Performance, Availability, and OEE widgets also contains the change in value compared to the comparison report period as shown at the top right.

mceclip2.png

This change in value is calculated as:

(current period value - comparison period value) / comparison period value

As opposed to the single chart displayed in non-comparison mode, two charts (one for each period) will be displayed for all widgets to enable the user to compare values.
