The Quality Defects feature enables categorizing production rejects based on the specific defects causing their rejection. This helps provide insights into both quality issues and production efficiency.

Setting Up a New Defect

Facility-Level Configuration Start

  • Navigate to Facility Settings select Quality Defects.

  • Select “Add new Quality Defects” and fill the form:

    • Name: Enter the name of the new defect.

    • Code: Provide a unique code for the defect. The code must be distinct as it may later be used for automated defect tracking and justification processes

    • Description: Add a detailed description of the defect. This field is optional.

Asset-Level Configuration

  • Go to Assets Settings, Details page and “Enable Collection of Quality Defects” and make an input for:

    • Acceptable reject Percentage: The maximum allowed percentage of rejected items or errors in a process before the system requires the user to take action.

    • Unit sample size: The number of units checked to determine if the reject percentage stays within the acceptable limit.

  • Without leaving Assets Settings, change the tab into the Quality Defects section.

  • Press “Add Quality Defects” and find the defect you want to link to the asset.

Once these defects have been added, they will be available for selection during Quality events.
