Each user has one of three roles in ioTORQ LEAN, either Viewer, Operator, or Manager. These roles have different access levels, permissions, and expected use cases for the system:
Operator: This role typically has restricted access to certain assets / facilities / settings pages and has limited configuration abilities. This role is mainly intended for browsers or tablets with a limited number of assets required for access, for example a tablet that is dedicated to one production line at a facility.
Manager: This role typically has access to most configuration abilities, including advanced report generation access. This is intended for production managers and plant managers. It does not have the ability to create or edit manager or admin user accounts.
Viewer: This role typically has full viewing access as the Manager role, with configuration abilities not enabled for this account type. This is intended for senior management, and other users that require visibility without access to configuration options.
Admin: This role typically has full access and configuration abilities, including advanced report generation access. This is intended for Continuous Improvement staff - anyone requiring visibility on multiple assets or facilities. It has the ability to create or edit manager or admin user accounts.
