Overview
Hardware and software gateways installed at industrial sites send data in real-time to ioTORQ LEAN. When these gateways get disconnected from the Internet, it impacts data acquisition and prevents the system from detecting downtimes.
The Device Management page provides an overview of the connection statuses of all gateways installed in a factory, allowing users to quickly identify data acquisition issues. It can be accessed under Global Settings > Device Management.
It is possible to select different facilities using the drop-down menu in the upper left corner. Once a facility has been selected, all available gateways will be displayed in individual cards, showing a green check mark for currently online gateways and a red cross for currently offline gateways.
The bottom of each card shows how many production lines are connected to a given gateway. This indicator is clickable: you can click on it to get the exact list of production lines that depend on this gateway.
On the lower left corner of each card is information on the number of disconnections over the last month and the cumulative amount of time for the disconnections . An uptime percentage is also added above the gateway's timeline.

You can click on a gateway display additional information and get the list of past disconnections.
Get notified about disconnections
In order to quickly act on disconnection events, it's possible to receive notifications by email when a gateway is disconnected for more than a pre-established amount of time.
To do so, click on the "NOTIFICATIONS" button at the upper right corner of the 'Device management' page. Once selected, a drop-down list of the gateways will be shown. Toggle the switch buttons to subscribe to notifications from the different gateways.
Once this feature is enabled for a given gateway, you will receive an email when it gets disconnected for longer than a pre-defined amount of time. An email will also be received when the gateway gets re-connected.
Assets affected by a gateway disconnection
A disconnection warning will be displayed directly on the affected assets in the Facility dashboard whenever a gateway is disconnected. This will be shown as an orange banner on the affected assets with the text "Gateway disconnected".
